Fantasy originates in the mind and develops, either in structured or unstructured forms, toward the creation of concepts. In this sense, fantasy can be understood as a branch of imagination.
Imagination itself arises from an intellectual entity that envisions conditions over which it seeks authority or control. It operates by engaging with reality as a foundational reference, making imagination a derivative of truth rather than its negation.
Simply put, from my point of view, fantasy is imagination in the process of approaching reality.
