It was break time, but the cafeteria was strangely quiet. Dahlia looked around, confused.
Dahlia
Weird.
Normally, during break, students would be everywhere — lining up, scrambling for tables, chattering non-stop. But today, it was so peaceful.
Dahlia
Milk tea and fries, please.
After she got her food, she sat down without worrying about finding a seat.
Looking outside, she saw a group of students gathering and following a guy into the cafeteria. Dahlia frowned. He looked familiar.
Jiri
KYAAAAAH!!! EZEKIEL!!
Nancy
CAN I HAVE YOUR AUTOGRAPH, PLEASE?!
Tammy
NOTICE ME!!
Adelia
I’VE BEEN YOUR FAN SINCE YOUR FIRST MOVIE!
Suddenly, the cafeteria turned into absolute chaos, even louder than usual. Dahlia looked at the guy’s face — and reality hit her. It was the same man from earlier.
His expression was completely different now. Earlier, it was as if he might eat her alive. Now, he wore a wide, charming smile in front of the crowd. But Dahlia felt something off behind that smile. She raised an eyebrow when she realized — his mouth was smiling, but his eyes weren’t.
Ezekiel
Please shut your mouths it’s noisy.
Dahlia didn’t even realize she had been staring at him. Ezekiel felt her gaze and turned to meet her eyes. The moment their eyes met, Dahlia’s heart began pounding rapidly.
Dahlia
(What the hell is this?)
She immediately looked down at her food, pretending nothing had happened.
