Best day in her memory
The sun was at its peak point, the sound of waves crashing to the shore can be heard in the background as two little silhouette of kids can be seen at the beach building castle on the beach.
Lil Samuel
"Aria, when we grow up, I'll build a big castle for us."
Little Samuel said with a cheeky smile on his face. He looked at Aria with adore.
Lil Aria
"We won't live together after we grow up."
Samuel asked as he was confused. He and Aria are friends, she likes to play with him so why can't she live with him.
Lil Aria
"When we grow up, I'll get married and live with my husband."
She said with a pout on her face. She stated it like this were the thought a 7-year-old kid should have.
Lil Samuel
"What?! That's it!!"
He said like it's not something to be worried about. He smiled as he stated his next statement.
Lil Samuel
" When I grow up, I'll make you my little wife."
Lil Aria
"No!! I'm older than you how can I be your little wife."
Aria said as she is a year older than him.
They were friends from when his parents were coming on this beach for their summer vacations from last five years. They stay for a week during vacation before they left. Sometimes they didn't get to say proper goodbyes.
Lil Samuel
"Then I'll be your little husband."
Samuel said with a raised eyebrow.
Poor kid!! He was expecting her to say yes to him. Such a cute proposal but seems like Aria didn't like his proposal and started crying. Samuel face which have a bright smile turned horrific in just a second on seeing her crying.
Lil Samuel
"Aria, Shh...sorry, I was joking, okay!!."
He tries to calm her, but she was not listening. He reached out his hand and wipe the tears from her cheek.
Lil Samuel
"Aria... Wake up...you will be late for work."
Aria opened her eyes and was invited by the zoomed face of her mother just inches away from her. She was on her bed in her room, gone were the site of beach, Samuel's face and his warmth from her cheek.
Every time she feels lonely, she dreamed of him. Last night was no exception. Even though that was the last time they met, he up to this date made her feel safe and special. That day was special no matter how she ruined it by crying embarrassing herself. It was the best day in her memory !!
Candace White
"Aria, get you lazy ass out of bed and get ready. It's already 7:30 a.m. You gonna be late today."
Candace White, her mother angry voice rang above her head. She sighed, don't know if she should tell her mother or not, but she couldn't hide it. So not telling her is not in the option.
She said not looking at her mother.
Candace White
"What? Come again!"
Candace looked at her not believing her daughter's word.
Aria White
"I quit my job mother."
She said and pulled the blanket above her head and tries to sleep again, but her mother was not finished. She yanked the blanket from her and looked at her.
Candace White
"Aria be serious and tell me what happened!"
She knew her daughter well, she doesn't pull stunts like this without reason and her reckless behavior is an evidence of it.
Aria White
"Mom I'm depressed working under that piece of garbage like boss. He always gave me hard time. I want a little break from it."
She said sincerely, even though that's not even the half of the truth she is hiding. She didn't want to worry her mother by telling her the truth.
Candace White
"Oh my!! Why didn't you tell me sooner? I'll deal with him myself. How dare he give my precious daughter hard time."
She said as she brushed the hairs from her face and caress her cheeks.
Candace White
"It's okay to take break sometimes. I want you to be happy. But find another job soon."
Candace White
"And don't keep things to yourself, Okay?"
She said giving her mother a big bear hug.
Candace White
"Leave me now. Get up and freshen up, breakfast is ready. Your father is waiting downstairs."
Candace said backing away from her hug and leaving the room.
Aria was happy. She wondered what she had done to deserve them as her parents. That year was really lucky for her. She get the most beautiful and precious gift in exchange of her experiencing the hell.
She thanked God everyday for this gift.
