Making The Feast For Heroes! Merry Christmas, Young Heroes! The Big Reunion!
It was almost Christmas Eve. Ten days before the Holly Jolly event. It wasn't easy going out, considering how many times Class 1A was targeted by villains. It was also many months after the raid of Gunga Villa, Jaku Hospital, and the final wars. Everyone in Class 2A was ready to spend Christmas with their families. But due to stores closing and malls shut down, it was impossible to get each other Christmas gifts.
But then, his friend and classmate, Junior Hedgehog, who survived the brink of death after sacrificing himself to save Todoroki from Dabi's sneak attack, had an idea. His family went out from the Big Island to Washington State for Christmas, but now, they're going to Hokkaido to host a Christmas Party. Not just for themselves, but to everyone who fought in the war. It was a “Thank You” celebration and every one of their friends were invited.
Many people got the invitation. Amy asked Bulma to help host it since her husband was part of the war. Bulma was proud of Vegeta. Amy was extremely proud of Sonic for defeating King Ghidorah, and Chi-Chi was proud of Goku for helping Sonic with King Ghidorah.
At Food Center Maruyama Store in Hokkaido, Amy, Cosmo, Rouge, Blaze, and Sally went to do a bit of Christmas shopping and Christmas dinner shopping. And they were talking about how Christmas will be different for them this year. On the special guest list, they invited the Queen of God, Queen Aleena, Lord Beerus, Whis, and Grand Zeno.

Hmm, well, everyone. I must admit, Christmas is going to be different this year, considering the reconstruction of many local businesses and hospitals.
Blaze the Cat
But, I'm afraid we won't be able to get the kids any presents considering how much damage Lord Boxman, All For One, Shigaraki, and King Ghidorah left for us.
Rouge the Bat
Boxman sure has a funny way of making sure we suffer through and through.

Not to mention that there are still members of the PLF that haven't been found.

But don't feel upset about this. The main thing is that we finally ended a conflict that hasn't been stopped for centuries. Even if there are many more villains to come in the near future, the world has seen a shining light of hope.

Uh-huh! And we have Sonic, Goku, and the others to thank. Besides, I have a special recipe in mind for the party before it starts.

Speaking of partying, where are the others? Aren't they supposed to be here yet?

I had Knuckles, Tails, and Fang do a bit of Christmas tree shopping to put in the resort hotel that we booked.

Amy walks inside the resort with the others. Inside, they all went to the kitchen to start preparation for the party.

So, what are we making today, Amy?

Well, since this will be a party, and since it's almost Christmas, we'll be making a Christmas classic that my mom and I made when I was a little girl.

It's a Christmas tree cake! It's been a family tradition of mine. I've even done these with Junior ever since he was three-years-old. And I've been waiting to do this again.

Let's see. 1 1/2 cups cake flour, sifted, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 3/4 cup powdered sugar, 2 level teaspoons baking powder, 1 tablespoon soft butter, 6 large eggs, 3/4 cup milk, 1/2 teaspoon cream, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, and finally, 3 cups fresh fruit.

What kind of fruits are we talking about?
Amy Rose
You know, like strawberries, blueberries, mandarin oranges, raspberries, kiwis, and blackberries.
Cosmo the Seedarian
So we're making a Japanese fruit Christmas cake? That sounds amazing?
Amy Rose
It does. I'm so glad that they were having a sale on fresh fruits today, or else we would've never been able to make this delicious pastry.

But, don't we need the berries in order to get started?
Amy Rose
*Shocked* Huh? Oh no, you're right! We must've forgotten to pick up the berries before we left the store.

Oh well, it gives us less work anyway.

Maybe not. Amy invited Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, and the others who are joining us. Maybe we can ask them to pick up a bag of the assorted fruits that we need.

Because Amy told me that Sonic will be late to the party. So will Shadow, Goku, and Vegeta.

They're training at Lord Beerus's world, but my mother-in-law will be here.

*Sarcastic* Oh sure, let's call Krillin, who carries around a business phone, so we can give him a ring whenever we want.
Cosmo pulls out her cellular phone and flips it open to contact Krillin. Meanwhile, Krillin, along with Android 18 and their daughter Maron, were in a bus heading towards Sapporo, Tokyo. Though, the trip was going to be long due to weather and traffic.

Damn! This traffic is taking forever to get to Hokkaido.

Well, to be fair, we still would've been fine if you hadn't spent three to four hours on you and Maron's hair.
Krillin
I waited so long that even the suitcase terminal was a good place to sleep.
Maron
But dad, didn't you say that this Amy person rented out a whole ski resort lodge for this occasion?

And the weather said that it was going to be snowing all day and night. So of course I had to go all out in case we don't go skiing.
Krillin
Well, Sonic did defeat King Ghidorah, and because of that and the fact that we helped the heroes with All For One, they're allowing us to have a one-day privilege.
Krillin
And out of everything, Sonic decided to reject the offer of using it for everything, but instead use that one privilege to rent out a ski resort in Hokkaido for a party.

He even rented rooms for us. So of course I'm going to go all out on my hair. Including Maron's.

And speaking of which, we are not going to be late to the annual bingo tournament, are we? Please tell me that we are not going to miss Bingo!

Many minutes later, everyone has gotten on their aprons to start the baking process.

Okay, now that we got these on, what's the second half?
Amy Rose
Okay then. Now we preheat the oven to 325° Fahrenheit. *Turns on the oven* Next, we have to mix our dry ingredients together.

*Grabs 1 1/2 cups cake flour and sifts it* The first thing we need to do is grab 1 1/2 cups of flour and sift it into a bowl.

*Scoops 1/4 teaspoon of salt* And then, we add the 1/4 teaspoon of salt. *Puts it in the flour* Next is the 2 teaspoons of baking powder...*Scoops it and puts it in the flour*

*Mixes the dry ingredients* And once that's done, we mix it all together, so it can all be blended.

Now what about the eggs?

That's where I'm getting at next. Next, we need to separate the yolk from the white. *Crack the egg and separates the yolk*

And that's how it's done. We have to do the same thing with the other eggs we have. Use a bowl or a cup to separate them.
Blaze the Cat

Yeah. Break the shell in two to shift and let the egg whites drip into a bowl. This method is called Between Halves.
Everyone began to do the method Amy was doing to separate the yolk from the whites. After many minutes of doing it, the yolk was separated from the whites, and they poured it into the bowl that was housing the six eggs.

Next, we add the rest of the wet ingredients and mix them together. First, we'll start with the 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract. *Pours 2 teaspoons*

*Advising* Hold on a moment, Cosmo. The inside of the eggs have salmonella, which can make you sick. So, after dealing with the eggs, be sure to wash your hands before handling anything else.

Then, I'm guessing we add the 3/4 cup milk. *Pours the milk* And then we mix it up, right?

Exactly. Let's use an electric mixer, so it can be blended evenly.

*Grunting as she's holding the mixer* This thing is like Tails's drill he has in the garage.

You're going to fling stuff everywhere! Go on a slower level, Cosmo. That way, it can be easier to go faster as you keep mixing the batter.

Batter? I thought we were mixing wet ingredients.
Rouge the Bat
Come on, the party is going to start at any minute and the guest are almost arriving. Maybe we better crank the speed-up. *Turns on the speed*
As the speed increases, Cosmo tries to hold it, but only to get herself in a spin cycle. Amy turns off the mixer and stops Cosmo.

*Worried* Cosmo, are you okay?

*Dizzy* I think the room is spinning.
Amy Rose
*Humming Jingle Bells* There. That should be good. Hey, how's the frosting coming along?
Rouge the Bat
It's peachy, Amy. You don't have to worry about a thing.

Uh, how are we supposed to get out of here?

Now then, after the whole batter is mixed and the whipped cream is made, now we just put the whipped cream in the fridge while the batter goes into the oven.

First, grab your sponge mold that is 18 cm in diameter. Then, pour the batter in and make sure it's spread out evenly.

*Grabs the mold full of batter* On an oven sheet, put it in carefully with oven mitts on your hands. That way, you won't burn yourself. *Closes the oven door*
Cosmo grabs the timer and sets it to 23 minutes. She then places the timer on the counter so that way they could wait while they prep the other food.

Then I guess we just wait for 23 minutes.
Sally Acorn
While we wait for the batter to rise, how about we prepare other foods as well? After all, this is going to be a feast.
Blaze the Cat
Sally is right. Let's get to work while we still have time left.
During the twenty-three minutes of waiting for the cake to rise, the girls got started on the feast. Amy made Cream stew, Karaage chicken, Hamburger Steak, and Fruit Salad. Blaze did her famous Apple pie and nut stuffing, Cosmo made her famous turkey and ham, Rouge made chocolate cookies and gingerbread man cookies, and Sally tried out the pizza gyoza recipe.
Twenty-three minutes passed, and the sponge cake was ready to be pulled out of the oven. Amy, with her oven mittens, pulled the cake out of the oven and placed it on the counter for decoration.
Amy Rose
Okay, now that the cake is done baking, let's put it on a flat surface. *Pats the pan to get the cake out* We need to let them rest and cool off for a little, but before we start icing them.
Cosmo the Seedarian
Then what can we do while we wait?
Amy Rose
We can start with making the syrup for the cake.
Rouge the Bat
Syrup for cake? Who eats pancake syrup on a cake?
Amy Rose
No, no, Rouge. It's cake syrup. That's how my mom and I did it. I'll show you how to do it. First, we need 1/2 cup of hot water. *Grabs the hot water and pours it into a bowl*

Next, we add 3 tablespoons of orange liqueur. *Pours three tablespoons onto a tablespoon* But, only use Grand Marnier. *Pours it into a bowl*

Gee, this is hard work. Amy, I'm jealous of how easy it is for you to do all of this.

Yeah, I can't imagine the kind of skills you developed.

I think I need to take some lessons from you.

Then, we add the 6 tablespoons of white sugar in a small bowl and then mix it all together. *Pours the sugar and mixes with hot water* We have to keep stirring until it's dissolved.
Amy Rose
Oh, by the way, we might want to keep pulsing the whipped cream we have in the fridge until the stiff peaks form.
Cosmo the Seedarian
I got it! *Grabs the mix from the fridge and whisks it* This whole thing is fun.
Rouge the Bat
Man, these sponge cakes we made are huge. How are we supposed to eat it and serve it?
Amy Rose
We cut it into two parts. Cut it horizontally and put one cake portion on a cake plate or serving tray. With the other, spread about--*realized* Oh, that's right. We need strawberries.
Cosmo the Seedarian
And without them, then we can't decorate the cake.
Rouge the Bat
You know what? I'm starting to wonder about Krillin. If Sonic was here, then he could've gotten them much faster. But he, Shadow, Goku, and Vegeta are off training.
Blaze the Cat
I know. How long does it take to grab berries from the store anyway? I wonder what is wrong.
Sally Acorn
Guys, I know we're worried. But we just have to have faith and pray. I mean, come on, it's not like they're actually training while looking for the berries and fruits we asked for.
Meanwhile, with Krillin and the other three, they decided to pick fresh strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries from a mountain source. When they arrived, they made it into a competition while keeping up with their training. Yamcha, Tien, Chiaotzu, and Krillin move at high-speeds to find berries that Amy and the other girls need for their cake. Tien and Chiaotzu were ahead, Yamcha was in second place, and Krillin was dead last. He couldn't find a single blackberry.

*Running* Okay, if I were a blackberry, where would I be? They've got to be around here somewhere.
Yamcha
Hey, Krillin, you better keep up, buddy! Looks like I'm about to win it!

Ha! Not so fast, Yamcha! *Runs to find blueberries*
