Merman (Jimin) part one

Y/N breathes in the slightly salty air with her eyes closed and lips curled up into a small smile. The waves washing up against the sand creates a calming ambiance that relaxes the male's tense muscles instantly.

Y/N enjoys taking long walks on the beachfront as a form of de-stressing after a busy week. She takes it upon herself to visit a new section of the beach each time so that she can admire the new scenery as she walks all of her worries away.

It's been a good hour since the young female first started walking away from her car and Y/N's debating on turning back around at this point. However, a small cave-like structure catches the female's attention and piques her interest.

With a slight glance down at her phone to check the time, Y/N deems she has enough time before sundown to explore a little more and lets her feet bringing her closer to the intriguing structure.

When Y/N stands in front of the mouth of the cave, she takes an audible gulp, eyeing the cavern cautiously. With the afternoon sun shining brightly and lighting up the entrance, the young female wills herself to wander into the cave despite her growing nerves.

Y/N takes cautious steps as she maneuvers against the cool slippery rock but smiles with excitement as she takes in the ethereal color of the water gently crashing against the rocks.

She nearly slips into the water when a loud splash startles her. Y/N lets out a strangled cry as her hands reach out to brace for the impact. She hisses when the cool rocks dig into her soft palms, undoubtedly grazing the skin.

As she stands back up, Y/N brushes herself off with a small grumble before whipping around to investigate the source of the sound that had startled her.

Y/N had been expecting to find a fish of some kind or perhaps a seal that had taken refuge in the secluded cave. What she did not expect, however, was to find a face staring at her curiously when she rounds the corner of a particularly large rock.

Y/N lets out a startled yelp and jumps back when she meets eye contact with the new face.

"Oh my god, you scared me," the male whines while clutching his chest tightly.

"Could've given me a heads-up to let me know I wasn't alone in here. I didn't expect anyone to be here - let alone swimming here."

The stranger blinks at the rambling female curiously and studies her figure as words continue to tumble out of Y/N's mouth.

"Hey, hello?" Y/N calls out when she realizes the stranger in front of her is zoning out.

When the stranger refocuses his attention, he looks back up to meet Y/N's gaze with a soft blush flushing across his cheeks.

"Sorry, hi," the male mumbles softly.

"Hi," Y/N snorts rather gracefully.

"Do people usually come swimming here? Is this some new spot?" Y/N begins to mumble to herself again.

"No, I've never met any humans here before," the stranger shakes his head softly - eager to answer the question.

"Oh, that explains why I've never heard of this place," Y/N hums.

"Wait a minute. Did you say 'humans"?"

"You're a human, aren't you?"

"I am, yes," Jungkook nods unsure.

Her eyes finally drift downwards, over the edge of the rocks, and it's then when the human female finally takes notice of the large tail treading water behind the stranger.

"Oh my god, you have a tail."

"Well, yes. How else is a merman supposed to get around," the stranger laughs softly.
