Plato - Part 2

6 years Later

Plato , today we have a little detour . Said Sergey

What ? why ? lets just do our job . Said Plato

Come on Plato , not that far away . Said Sergey

What . What are you planning to do anyway ? asked Plato

Nothing . Just meeting a friend . Said Sergey

Just do not get us into trouble man . Said Plato

What trouble ? Have I ever got you into trouble ? Asked Sergey

Just last week . Replied Plato

Sergey laughed . Well I just do not remember

The truck went off route to Downtown

Sergey , is this place not that dangerous man . Asked Plato

No , not at all . If you know the right people . Said Sergey with a grin on his face

Plato sighed

You are the boss . He said

The truck went near a broken down factory with shutters half open .

Sergey honked , there was no response

So he repeatedly honked .

Finally , someone opened the shutters . It was a women in her early thirties

Andrea , said Sergey in a loud tone

Sergey , Andrea welcomed him

Sergey turned over to Plato . He said to him .

How do you like my bird ?

That's your girl ? No way . Laughed Plato

Sergey's face turned serious

Sergey , said Andrea .

You got the stuff . she asked him

I got stuff , replied Sergey

Whether its your stuff or not . Only you can tell .

Antony , shouted Andrea . Get the scanner . She instructed

Open the truck Sergey . She said , all the three of them put their masks on

Antony came rushing in with the scanner . Without a mask on his face

Put your mask on . Andrea said to him again

The only fool in Minsk . Quoted Sergey

Antony put his mask on . She and Andrea went to the back of the truck with the scanner

The scanning went for a while

The only thing Sergey and Plato could hear now is the noises made by the scanner

After a very long time . The two of them , came out with a bag full of stuff

Antony took the bag and went inside the Building

As Sergey shut the back of the truck

The three of them removed the mask and gasped

Andrea took out something from the pockets and tossed it over to Sergey

Next week , this time again . She asked him

That's fine by me . Replied Sergey

Andrea took leave from the both of them

Sergey started the truck

A fine women . He said to Plato

Rather too fine . Said Plato . You did Realize she had a gun on her

Of course , I knew . Replied Sergey

But was the gun loaded ? I do not think so . Said Sergey as he started to speed again

Anyway , what was all that ? how do you know her . Asked Plato

Just some connections kid , replied Sergey . Just some connections

If Mr. Peter comes to know of this . We could be terminated form our jobs . Warned Plato

Plato , listen here man . The thing is anyway going to be . Shit . I do not know . God knows what they do with this . I Just know , that this thing is useless to anyone and everyone . So what we if we just drop a bit on the way , its the same.

Clearly not useless , to everybody . Said Plato hinting at Andrea

That Plato , is beyond me too . Replied Sergey

What if they are creating something harmful with this . I just do not trust them .Said Plato

I do , that's enough for now man . Said Sergey who was clearly getting frustrated

Listen to me here , Kid . Said Plato

Not all of us have Diamonds growing in the gardens . That we can happily pick when we want

Some of us , have to snatch the diamonds form the gardens of other people . When they are fast asleep . Said Sergey

I do not understand . said Plato

You will soon , replied Sergey

Now lets go and dump this in the yard .

Back at the plant

Plato , you are required to meet the Mr. Peter , said the lady at the front desk

A perplexed Plato stood in complete silence , Which prompted Mrs. Kristina to ask him

Plato , you alright . She asked him .

The question made Plato to come out of his daze and answer her

Is it only me , Mrs. Kristina ? Is Sergey needed to be there also

The sudden confusion existed within Plato because of what had happened in the morning

Only you Plato , Sergey is not required . And Plato if you do not mind me asking . What makes you so anxious . Asked Mrs. Kristina

Its nothing madam , I'm just a little tired from all the work I had done today , that is all . Replied Plato

Anyway Hurry up . Mr. Peter could leave anytime now . Said Mrs. Kristina

Plato agreed to her point and quickly made his way up to the Top floor where Mr. Peter's office was

Before knocking on the door to get permission to enter his office , Plato's mind got diverted again . Why is it that only I'm being questioned . Why not Sergey . After all he was the perpetrator . Maybe he will be questioned later on .

Plato after staring at the door , finally mustered the courage to knock on the door of Mr. Peter

Come in said an authoritative voice

Plato went in and reported himself

Sir , you had asked for me ? said Plato

Yes , Please sit down . Plato really could not make out with the tone of Mr. Peter whether if he was in some kind of trouble or not

Plato , said Mr. Peter . Do you know why I had called you to come up to my office?

No Sir , Replied Plato .

I have some good news for you , said Peter

Good news Sir , replied Plato who was extremely relieved with how the conversation had gone

How could he have known about the incident that occurred in the morning today , Not possible at all . Plato convinced himself and got a lot more confident

Yes . Good news . Hope your driving skills are not that rusty . Asked Peter

Its quite alright sir , my capacity as a driver . Replied Plato

Am I going to be promoted to a driver . Asked Plato

Indeed Son . answered Peter

You are a good lad and this is what we want to reward you with . But..

Sir ? said Plato and sat up straight

But , you will be driving alternatively with Andrei . You both take turns . You understand . Asked Peter

Yes sir , I understand

Sir , if I may , said Plato

And I assume , you are wondering what would happen to Sergey ? said Peter

Yes Sir , replied Plato

Well , we thought we can put his skills to more use . You know what I mean . Said Mr. Peter with a grin on his face
