Return Good for Evil (1)

It took Emilie 20 minutes to bring me here at a speed of 100 mph. Thus, I was at least 30 miles away from my residence. Realizing this, I almost wanted to kill myself. What bad luck!

Picking up the slippers from the ground, I tightened my clothes and looked up. Fortunately, I saw the Big Dipper. After finding Alioth, which was the brightest, I found the way back. Therefore, I began to walk towards the blurry lights in the distance, like a beggar.

After half an hour, I finally found a road with cars passing by. I stared at it and wanted to kill Emilie.

When it was almost dawn, a kind man gave me a ride to the urban areas. Then, I took a taxi to my residence. I left my wallet at home, so I ran away after giving the driver half a bag of cigarettes as the taxi fare.

Entering the neighborhood, I was burning with rage. I wanted to ask Emilie why she was so cruel to me.

Back in the house, I placed the guitar on the table in the living room and walked to Emilie's room. I knocked hard on the door. "Do you think it's funny to fool me around? Do you know I have to work tomorrow?" I looked outside the window and found that it was morning. "No, I have to work today. I walked all over last night, so I'm too exhausted to work. If I get fired, will you be responsible for it?"

I kept complaining, but there was no response in the room.

"If you don't want me to say something harsher, you'd better open the door." I punched the door again.

It was still silent in the room.

I muttered, "Maybe Emilie hasn't returned." I tried to turn the door handle, only to find that it was locked.

Emilie always thought nothing of me, so I didn't want to be a gentleman anymore. Instead, I decided to break into her room. After finding the key to her room, I opened the door at once. I had to talk to Emilie even if she was sleeping.

I turned on the light and saw that Emilie was lying sideways on the bed. Covered with a quilt, Emilie had her back to me in silence.

"Do you know what I suffered when you were sleeping? I caught a cold in the wind and got a runny nose!" With a sneeze, I rubbed my nose. "Do you know? You are the most heartless person I have met in my life!"

Whatever I said, Emilie remained silent!

When I decided to pull Emilie off the bed and reasoned with her, she gave a strong cough.
