First Night

Let's start the story

Adrian is on the balcony and smoking a cigarette.

ML: Adrian Smith

*Dad got me married to this girl..Is she that much innocent as she looks like or she is just pretending to be innocent? I don't know anything about her yet..I need to know about her first.* (throws the cigarette on the floor and steps on it. He picks up the cigarette again and throws it out of the balcony. Goes into the room and continues behaving like a kid with Mia)

ML: Adrian Smith

(sits beside Mia) What's your name? (asked innocently)

Fl: Mia Arley

Mia. What's yours? (asked with a smile on her face)

ML: Adrian Smith

Adrian. So you will play with me, right?

Fl: Mia Arley

Play with you? (confused) *What is he talking about?*

ML: Adrian Smith

Yeah! We will play together from today onwards! My dad said you are a very good girl and you will play with me. And you will love me too! (said innocently with a smile on his face.)

Fl: Mia Arley

(blushing) *What the f*ck is he saying! Is he out of his mind? Why is he talking like this?*

ML: Adrian Smith

You will play with me, right?

Fl: Mia Arley

(looking at the floor as she doesn't know how to respond to this question)

ML: Adrian Smith

Mia? You will not play with me? Then who will play with me? I will have to play alone..I don't have anyone to play with..(saying in a very sad voice)

Fl: Mia Arley

Adrian? You are telling me to play with you?

Mia is asking this question as she can not believe that how can a grown-up man ask her to play with him.

ML: Adrian Smith

Yeah! Yeah! Please play with me..(said in a pleading voice and held her hands)

Fl: Mia Arley

Okay. I will play with you. (said with a smile on her face)

ML: Adrian Smith

(Got shocked but didn't let Mia know about it and smiled brightly) Okay. It's so late already. We should sleep now. My mom says that children should not stay awake at night for a long time, it's a bad thing.

Fl: Mia Arley

(giggles) But you are not a child anymore..But it's okay. Let's sleep. Are you okay with sleeping with me on the bed or should I sleep on the couch?

ML: Adrian Smith

*Is she pretending to be a good wife?* No. Why will I have a problem in sleeping with you? Let's sleep! (yawns) I am so sleepy! (said and lies on the middle of the bed)

Fl: Mia Arley

(giggling by seeing his behavior)

Mia gets up from the bed and goes to the washroom to change her dress. She wears a nightgown and sleeps with Adrian

In the next morning

Mia gets up early in the morning and goes to the kitchen. She makes breakfast for everyone though the maids in the kitchen forbid her to do any work.

Getting up early and making breakfast for everyone is Mia's habit as she is used to do it while she was with her uncle, aunt.

In Adrian's family, everyone has their meal together at the dinner table. So everyone gathers at the dinner table to have breakfast.

Everyone sits on their chair

ML's Mom: Mrs. Smith

Mia..Why are you standing dear? Sit with us. (smiles)

Fl: Mia Arley

Yeah, mom. But where is Adrian? Why isn't he coming downstairs to have breakfast yet?

ML's Mom: Mrs. Smith

Oh..dear. Adrian has his breakfast in his room. He doesn't like to come out of his room much. The servants will give his breakfast to his room. Don't worry about it. Sit with us.

Fl: Mia Arley

(nods as yes and sits down)

ML's Cousin: Noah

(sits on the chair) Good morning, sister-in-law!

Fl: Mia Arley

(smiles) Good morning.

ML's Cousin: Noah

I think you don't know my name yet. My name is Noah. I am your stupid husband Adrian's cousin.

ML's Grandpa: William Smith

(glares at Noah) Noah! Behave yourself!

ML's Cousin: Noah

Sorry, Grandpa.

ML's Grandpa: William Smith

Don't feel bad, dear.

Fl: Mia Arley

It's okay, grandpa.

ML's Dad: Mr.Liam Smith

Mia..I think you have noticed Adrian's behavior. We know we should have told you about it personally but we did have told about Adrian's mental condition to your uncle and aunt. I think they have informed you about it. Didn't they?

Fl: Mia Arley

(silent) *Adrian's mental condition? He has a mental illness? But my uncle and aunt didn't tell me anything about it..*
