Lena sat alone in her darkened studio, the only sound the soft hum of the film projector. She was editing her latest project, a horror film about an abandoned cinema. As she worked, she began to feel a creeping sense of unease.
The footage on the screen seemed to be changing, the scenes shifting and rearranging themselves. Lena saw glimpses of a figure in the audience, a shadowy presence that seemed to be watching her.
Suddenly, the projector sputtered and died. The room was plunged into darkness. Lena heard footsteps, the sound of someone walking towards her from the screen.
As the lights flickered back to life, Lena saw the figure standing in front of her. It was a woman in a old-fashioned dress, her face twisted in a scream.
Lena tried to run, but her feet felt heavy, as if they were stuck in place. The woman's face drew closer, her eyes black as coal.
And then, everything went black.
The next morning, the police found Lena's studio empty, the projector still running, the film stuck on a single frame. It was a shot of the woman's face, her eyes seeming to stare directly into the soul of anyone who looked at it.
The film was never finished, but some say that on certain nights, you can still see Lena's footage playing in an abandoned cinema, the woman's face forever frozen on the screen.
The next part will come soon...
