Murder Mansion: Trapped In the Novel
Prologue: The Last Chapter She Never Read
Blood soaked the marble floor.
The chandelier above swayed gently, its crystals trembling like they were scared to fall.
A scream echoed through the halls, but it was already too late. The body lay cold.
The killer… was still in the room.
In a dusty library, a book sat wide open. Pages torn. The title:
The Violet Mansion Murders
The words blurred, ink smudged as if the story itself didn’t want to be read.
A hand reached out to close it—
But stopped.
“This isn’t how it was supposed to end.”
Footsteps retreated.
Lightning cracked across the sky.
Somewhere far away, in another world…
A girl named Anna Carter was about to open that very book.
And step into a story that was never hers.
A story she couldn’t control.
A killer she couldn't predict.
What if the ending was never written?
And she was meant to finish it—

Chapter 1: Lights Out
author
Hello dear readers.
author
so let's begin our story
Scene: Office, Thursday lunch break.
Emily ( Anna friend)
Annaaaa.
Emily ( Anna friend)
Did you finish that murder novel I gave you?
Anna Carter
Almost. I'm on Chapter 17.
Anna Carter
That twisted family, that creepy mansion?
Anna Carter
I’m living for the drama 😭🔪
Emily ( Anna friend)
Wait till you reach the end.
Emily ( Anna friend)
The killer reveal? 💀😱
Emily ( Anna friend)
Chills. Literal chills.
Anna Carter
Tonight, I’m finishing it. Even if the sky falls.
Scene: Anna’s apartment. 10:41 PM. Heavy rain.
Anna (texting herself in notes)
Anna Carter
📩 Chapter 18: The guests gather in the library.
The lights flicker. Someone screams.
Anna Carter
Ughh so good 😭
💡 [Lights go out. Total blackout.]
Anna Carter
Great. No light. No charger.
Anna Carter
Universe: 1
Me: 0
Anna Carter
Whatever. A quick nap.
Then I’ll solve the case like the queen I am 😴
Scene fades to darkness... then light.
Birds chirping. A faint piano melody. Velvet curtains flutter.
Anna Carter
(wakes up slowly)
Anna Carter
My bed… is way too soft.
Where’s my phone?
Anna Carter
(She sits up. Her hair’s curled, her dress is vintage silk.)
Anna Carter
Okay WHAT is this nightgown??
This is NOT my Target hoodie.
She stumbles to the mirror. The room is old-fashioned. Grand. Rich.
Anna Carter
No way. No way.
Anna Carter
This is the Violet Mansion.
From the book?!
Door creaks. A young maid walks in nervously.
maid
Miss Carter… The Master has requested all guests gather in the dining room.
maid
Mr. Jake Lu, of course. You arrived last night.
Anna Carter
(internally screaming)
*JAKE LU??
THE mysterious male lead? Suspected killer??*
Anna Carter
No no no.(murmur)
Anna Carter
I’ve literally entered a murder novel.
Where half the guests DIE.( to herself)
[Anna walks out slowly, heart pounding]
Anna Carter
(thinking)
*I know how the story goes…
Or at least, I thought I did.
But I never finished the last 3 chapters…*
Anna Carter
*I don’t know who the killer is.
And now I’m trapped inside this twisted game.*
Anna Carter
*🩸 To survive… I have to solve it.
Before the killer solves me.*

Chapter 2: The Man in the Shadows
Scene: Dining Hall, The Violet Mansion – Morning
The long hallway stretched out like a spine of secrets, dimly lit by golden sconces.
The carpet beneath Anna's feet was soft, almost too soft — like it wanted to swallow footsteps whole.
Anna Carter
(thinking)
*This place is too quiet.
Not even birds. Just… silence.*
Anna Carter
*Like the house itself is watching.*
The double doors creaked open. A heavy scent of cinnamon and something metallic — maybe blood? — filled the air.
The dining room was huge. Antique paintings, twelve chairs, and a long table filled with untouched breakfast dishes.
Everyone sat stiffly, eyes low. Like suspects. Like statues.
At the head of the table sat him.
Jake Lu
(cold voice) You're late.
His voice was like ice cracking on a lake — calm, but threatening.
He wore a dark vest, sleeves rolled, a silver watch glinting. His face unreadable. Only his eyes moved—piercing straight through Anna.
Anna Carter
(Sits slowly)
Sorry. I, uh… overslept?
Jake Lu
(stares without blinking)
Jake Lu
You arrived last night in a storm. But no one remembers inviting you. (cold voice)
A few guests exchanged glances. One woman sipped tea too fast. A man’s knife clinked hard against his plate.
Anna Carter
(thinking)
*He knows I don’t belong here.
Or maybe… he remembers something I don’t?*
Jake rose from his chair. He circled the table like a predator checking his prey.
Jake Lu
Strange things happen here.
People vanish.
Memories shift.
Loyalty means nothing.❄️
He stopped behind her, voice now low in her ear.
Jake Lu
If you want to survive in this house…
Don’t trust anyone.
Then he walked away. No sound. No goodbye.
Anna Carter
(thinking)
*He’s dangerous.
But he’s not lying.*
Anna Carter
*The game has already started.*
