The sounds of my heels were loud , and it made echos in the

office. The total opposite of what I wanted, afraid that someone

is earlier than me and is already at their desk would take notice

of my presence.

I got to my desk and put down that latte in my hands and sighed.

While waiting for my computer to finish loading, I scrolled my

table rang. I picked it up and heard a cold voice.

I walked towards him cautiously and stopped once I think it was close enough.

Hyunji: Is there something you need sir?

(He slowly turned around, showing his handsome face.)

I waited outside the car for 5 minutes and she's still not out of her house. Just as I was about to knock on her door, she walked out of her home.

Jennie: It's my boyfriend's birthday.

Jennie: I see that you're with Jungkookie.

(Jennie then grabbed my arm and pulled me closer to her.)

(I got out of her grip unnoticed and went back to Jungkook.)

Jennie: Oh... okay. But you have never attended any dinner like this, I'm just worried that you wouldn't get use to it.

Hyunji: No need to worry for me, cause it looks like you're new too. Jungkook let's go.

(He grabbed my hand and walked away from Jennie. I looked up at him while we were walking, his eyes, was cold yet sad at the same Time)

Hyunji: Sir, who is Jennie to you?

Jungkook: Mind your own business.

Hyunji: Sorry sir.

(Jungkook left me alone in the middle of the ballroom. Wow, what a great boss. Then I felt someone tap my shoulders, I turned and my jaws dropped.)

Jin: What are you doing here?

Hyunji: O-oppa?

Jin: Who else? By the way, Dad is here too.

Hyunji: What?!?! Help me hide!!

Jin: He's with the Mr Jeon, don't worry. But I saw Jennie here too

Hyunji: Meh, I just roasted her.

Jin: Seriously?

Hyunji: Yep!

Jin: Oh well. I have to go do some, stuff.

Hyunji: Just be careful, okay?

(Oppa left and now I'm really alone now. Not so soon though.)

I turned around, again, and saw my childhood friend. Jackson.

Hyunji: Oh my gosh. Jackson?!

Jackson: It's you!! You look prettier than before!!

Hyunji: No, I'm not. I'm still the same.

Jackson: Are you still doing that thing?

Hyunji: No. But I still have therapy shit to do.

Jackson: I think it's best you don't curse here. It's a fancy place, people may talk bad about you.

Hyunji: It's not like I never heard enough.

Jackson: You have to walk out of the shadow, Hyunji! You can't live like this anymore.

Hyunji: Thanks, but that's gonna take awhile.

(I smiled weakly and walked away, trying my best to ignore his calls)

(I was talking to some partners of the company when I heard someone calling Hyunji multiple times. A part of me wanted to go look for her, a part of me think that she'll be fine.)

(In the end, I still went to look for her. I walked to hallway that leads to the bathroom. As I was getting closer to the ladies' I heard a loud thump, so I opened the door and all I saw was Hyunji lying on the floor with shattered glass and blood.)

Jungkook: HYUNJI!!! WAKE UP!!

She's obviously unconscious. I picked her up and laid her in my arms, as I dialed the ambulance. I carried her outside of the building and waited. I could hear the guests talking about me and Hyunji. But all I'm worried about is how she's going to continue act as my girlfriend.

???: HYUNJI!!!

???: HYUNJI!!!

Then I heard two people calling for her. I turned and saw two people. Kim Seokjin and Jackson Wang.

Jungkook: What are the two of you doing?

Jin: I'm her brother!!

He took Hyunji in his arms and tears fell. Jackson looked genuinely concerned.

Jungkook: Then who are you to her?

Jackson: I'm her childhood best friend!! Was there any sharp objects around her when you found her?

Jungkook: Uhh... shattered glass!

Jin: God Damn you Hyunji!!

Hyunji: P-please, don't....

Jungkook: What's she saying?

Jackson: She's dreaming about that again hyung.

Jin: *sniff* I know...

Jackson: Then who are you to Hyunji?

Jungkook: I-

Nurse: Where is the injured?

Jin: Here!!

Jungkook: I'll tell you on the way there.

Hyunji: He's my boss, of course I have to care for my job. Plus, I think I embarrassed him enough tonight. I need to apologise, or I'm dead.

Jin: Just go back to the company!!

Hyunji: I have to show him that without his support, I could also survive on my own.

Jackson: I'll go back first. Rest well.

(He left and I got more reprimanding from oppa.)

(I sat in the hospital garden and looked up to the sky.)

Jackson: She's fine. You're using her to make Jennie jealous aren't you?

Jackson: Tell you what, Jennie's engaged.

Jungkook: Already?!

Jackson: Yes. Give her up!! She made Hyunji go through shit in high school and broke up with you for your hyung.

Jungkook: I... I still don't believe that she's such a person.

Jackson: But she is. Did you know that she made Hyunji go to jail?

(I discharged after 3 days in the hospital. The food there sucked.)

(On Wednesday, I went to work, praying that I wouldn't get fired. Rosé rushed to me once she saw me walking into the company.)

Rosé: Oh my god, I just known what happened to you only an hour ago. Why didn't anyone tell me?

Hyunji: then how did you know if no one told you?

Rosé: I texted Jin oppa.

Hyunji : Oh well.

(We took the lift and each went to our floors. I took a deep breathe and walked to my seat. As soon as my butt touch the seat, boss's office door opened.)

Jungkook: Hyunji, come in.

(He turned back in and I prayed twice. Fingers crossed, god bless me. I entered and he looked at me coldly, did I mention that his eyes kill people?)

Jungkook: How are you now?

Hyunji: Um... I'm fine?

Jungkook: Would you mind telling me about you and Jennie?

Hyunji: Uhh...

Jungkook: I wouldn't make any comments.

Hyunji: If you say so, but you have to pinky promise.

Jungkook: Are you a kid?

Hyunji: Oh well, I'll just make up a story.

We pinky promised and I start to recall for my worst memories.

( I heard Jennie's voice and faced her. She was wearing a crop top, which covered only her breasts. She also wore a leather shorts with fish net. In my opinion, she looks like a slut. Don't get me wrong, the outfit is hot, but the person wearing it is the slut.)

Hyunji: May I help you?

Jennie: Yes. You can follow me for a moment.

Hyunji: O-okay.

(I followed her into an empty classroom. There were two girls waiting in the room already, Lisa and Jisoo. I knew what was going to happen, so I turned to leave, but the door was closed and locked.)

Lisa: So, she's the bitch?

Jennie: Yep.

Hyunji: W-what did I even do?

Jisoo: You stole her boyfriend, what a slut?

Hyunji: Mark? We a-already broke up!!

Jennie: I know, he's broke up with you, for me.

Hyunji: WHAT?!

(Lisa pulled my hair hard and stared at me as if she would eat me alive.)

(They started to beat me up, kick me, and slashed my arm. When

they left, I was half dead. Oppa found me in that classroom half an

hour later. He sent me to the hospital...")

Jungkook: Then what?!

Hyunji: No... I'm sorry, I'm really sorry, I wouldn't find Mark

again. We already broke up, why are you still doing this to me?!

Hyunji finished her sentence and fainted. I caught her before she

fell in on floor.

I shook her and she shot her eyes open.

I helped her up sat her on the couch on the side.

Jungkook: You okay?

Hyunji: I'm SO sorry, I didn't mean to... um...

Jungkook: Can you continue the story?

Hyunji: *gulp* I'll try my best!

Jin: You're transferring.

Hyunji: One more semester, and I'm graduating!! I can't transfer!

(The next day, in Math class, a golden badge that was honoured by the town mayor went missing. Jennie accused me of stealing the badge, my denials were useless as the badge was found in my bag. I was then sentenced to jail for 2 years, because Jennie accused that I had stolen other stuff before but she wanted me to "change". The accusations got me in jail.)

(I hated her. But I know that I was the slut...)

Hyunji: There..

(Tears rolled down her cheeks and she didn't seem to notice it. I didn't believe anything she said, Jennie isn't a person like that. She's probably just jealous and is making up a story.)

(I shook my head and she went back to work.)

(I had a meeting at Mr Kim Ye Sung's company. So I got out of my office, and she's still crying. Her eyes were red and puffy, and her makeup were washed away by her tears.)

(I looked at her computer and found that she was typing at a black screen. I'm starting to think that she's telling the truth, but I chose to stay neutral. I shook my head and left the company.)

(I reached Mr Kim's company and was then guided to his office.)

(Mr Kim: Pleasure to meet you, Mr Jeon. Take a seat please.)

(I sat down and we discussed about further partnership in the future. As I was about to leave, I noticed a picture frame on his table. I kept looking at it, wondering who it looked like.)

Mr Kim: Oh, this is my daughter.

Jungkook: She's really pretty.

Mr Kim: I know, she looked like her mother. But she and her brother left the house when their stepmom came.

Jungkook: Is their relationship bad?

Mr Kim: Their stepmom is very caring, but they seemed to dislike her a lot.

Jungkook: Would you mind telling me more about your daughter?

Mr Kim: I would love to! She was a very cheerful kid, but something happened in college and she went to the hospital, she even went to jail. I know that she's innocent, but she got depression, she self harm and thinks she's a slut. You may not believe it, but it was Jennie who made her like that.

Jungkook: R-really?

Mr Kim: You can choose to believe or not. She left the household, and I only get her news from her brother. I really don't understand why she left....
